Getting Close
It is fall, elections are around the corner and we are wrapping up the festival and PBS version of Eating Alaska.

Our first screening is in Fairbanks at the Museum of the North on Wednesday November 12th, followed by a screening and community event in Sitka, Alaska on November 15th. We head to Anchorage for a state-wide public health summit on December 2nd. Our first lower 48 festival showing will be at the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival January 9-11 in Nevada City, California.

We invite folks to contact us with outreach ideas or to set up a screening. We encourage screenings in schools, workplaces, or linked to food events. We are starting to set up (and welcome more) community showings that link to local projects, be that organizing a greenhouse, pushing for more healthy foods choices in stores or school lunches, or advocating for keeping where we hunt, fish or garden clean and healthy.

We'll be creating an educational version of Eating Alaska* with extras and additional features too.

For additional reading, Michael Pollan just wrote an excellent article, about food security and food policy called, Food, the Environment, and the Future of America
